Jamiat Un-Noor Al Kheriyatil Hind is a Madrasa and School in Kharak Riwara, Satbari village, in the outskirts of Delhi. Despite a large population (5000 households in four adjoining villages), there are few government amenities in the area. The closest government school is five kilometers away and the closest government hospital is five kilometers away. This puts the rural community at a great disadvantage.
About 4000 households in the community are Muslim. Maulana Muhammad Umar Qasmi Sahib who is the vice president of the Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, Delhi, suggested that a madrasa and a school be set up to cater to the needs of the people in the area. In 2017, Jamia An-Noor was established on 500 square-yards of land purchased for this purpose. The institution adopted a new name as part of its formal registration and organizational development. Jamiat Un-Noor Al Kheriyatil Hind (JUNKH) is a trust created under the provisions of the Indian Trusts Act 1882 with the objective of establishing an educational institution and undertaking other social work (NITI Ayog Unique ID: DL/2023/0337096).
As of early 2026, more than 700 children have been supported in their education, including 13 who have become Hafiz-ul-Qurán through Jamiat Un-Noor Al Kheriyatil Hind. Currently, more than 50% of our students are girls and we employ four teachers. We also provide accommodation for orphans to encourage their education.

Our goal is to adorn our community with confident and competent scholars in various fields – religious or secular, and inculcate leadership qualities in them.
Allah سبحانه وتعالى says in the Holy Qurán, “Say; Are those equal, those who know and those who do not know? It is those who are endued with understanding that remember (Allah’s revelation)” [Surah Az-Zumar: 9].
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim” [Ibn Majah].
The Muslims of India are in a strange situation, that is, there is an unfortunate divide between religious and secular learning. Jamiat Un-Noor Al Kheriyatil Hind is a unique edducational institution combining religious and contemporary education in the suburbs of Delhi and has gained a prominent position in a short span of time.
